Which Dry Studio Kit do I have?
The Smart Loops Dry Studio Kit has been a very popular loop CD, and has gone through a few changes every time we do another duplication run. Here is some information you will find helpful when determining what version of Dry Studio Kit you own, and if you need the latest release.
Note that all the loops on every release are the same, with the following format changes.
The Dry Studio Kit drum loops were on a CD called Drag and Drop Drummer version 1.
The loops were provided at several different tempos for users who did not have a program to stretch the tempo of the loops like ACID, SONAR, etc. A small program called Drag and Drop Drummer was provided on the CD to easily locate, audition, and drag the loops into your recording program.
The Dry Studio Kit loops were on a CD called Drag and Drop Drummer version 2.
The loops were still provided at different tempos, but also contained all the ACID-format loops as well for users with ACID, SONAR, etc. A small program called Drag and Drop Drummer was provided on the CD to easily locate, audition, and drag the loops into your recording program.
The company changed its name to Smart Loops, but all the loops were identical to the second release. The Drag and Drop Drummer was discontinued because most recording programs now come with a Loop Explorer View.
The loops are now provided in three different formats on the CD; ACID WAV, REX 2, and AIFF Apple Loops. The loops are not provided at different tempos since your program will do the tempo stretching for you. This release also includes all the loops that came on the Dry Studio Kit EXTRA CD, available as a separate product. The EXTRA loops are duplicate of all the Dry Studio Kit loops, but with a powerful reverb on just the snare drum.
The individual formats are also available for purchase as downloads.
The Dry Studio Kit loops are not related to our Pro Drum Works collection other than they both contain drum loops.
