Sometimes repeating the same one-measure loop is what fits and is perfect for a particular song. However, sometimes you need something more for a song.
Instead of using a single loop over and over, try finding two or more loops that work well together to create a two or four bar groove. Even if it’s just the kick drum slightly changing its placement, experiment with all the different combinations of loops that are available to you. You might be surprised at the extremely realistic drum tracks you can create by using this technique.
The Dry Studio Kit has hundreds of loops, and Pro Drum Works has thousands of loops that can be mixed and matched end-to-end to create unique two and four bar patterns.
